It was a very
sad day when we had to help Timothy cross the rainbow bridge. He suddenly
became ill, stopped eating and even with treatment became weaker by the day. A
few days later he collapsed and we had to make the final call.
Timothy joined
the family many years ago. He was joined at the hip with Jessica so when I went
to the Highveld Horse Care Unit, I decided to take them both into my home.

Timothy and
Jessica became a very important part of the family and joined in with all the
workshops that I ran with him. Timothy taught many people how to communicate on
a telepathic level with animals. He showed people that a donkey is so full of
fun and can be quite playful. He used to say "We are not stubborn. We just
choose not to do certain things" He was such a gentle donkey and got on so well
with the rest of the herd.
The highlight
of his day was when world famous jockey Maice Roberts came for a private
workshop and when he saw Timothy, he hugged him and wouldn't let go. Timothy
gave him so much love. He told me that Timothy was his favorite donkey.
We had so many
good, fun, and happy times with you Timmy. We miss you and will always think of
you with love in our hearts. We will miss seeing you and Jessica playing
tug-of-war with the tyres in the jumping arena and watching you carry off all
the jump poles.
You will always
live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of meeting and spending
time with you. You are my special boy and I will always love you.
Fly high my
donkey boy and kick up a storm in the clouds. Until we meet again.
